Dumb Ass Americans! Dirt McGirk !/ep59V2nRs No.261705   [ExpImg]
OMG! I knew most American's were huge fucking idiots, but MY GOD this is an extremely low point! And to think I was feeling guilty yesterday about saying I was Canadian, when I'm really an American. I'm Canadian again.

Step 1: Go here: http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/93080/nasa-attacks-the-moon

Step 2: Read a few comments, scroll down read a few more, scroll even further down and read.

Step 3: Commence laughter of the highest quality.

Step 4: ????

Step 5: Profit.

Pic related... sort of.

I'm raged when journalists do science (and people) a disfavor publishing this kind of crap news, using blatantly exaggerated words.
And well, also raged at the huge ignorance of people.

In my country there are people over their 40s that don't have a fucking clue that humans have been sending spacecrafts to Mars for decades.

That's was my original point. In my head at least. I should have clearly stated that in my original post, yes.

All 400+ poster are super 'tards. Scratch that, I know some people with mental disabilities that get this shit. They are fucking walking furniture. They have no brains. They don't know that $79 million is chump change for the US Government, and that the possible gains of this kind of research could by far pay for that, and possibly open up new areas of research and business. Seventy-nine-million spent today, equals billions next year.
But most Americunt's being as short sighted as they are, don't get it.

Look at all the shit DARPA can do with 97 million.

Tip-Based Nanofabrication (TBN) ($10 million)
Breakthrough Biological and Medical Technologies AKA DNA Editing to Make Supersoldiers ($7.5 Million)
Nanoscale/Bio-inspired and MetaMaterials ($10 million)
Atomic Scale Materials and Devices AKA Spintronics($22 million)
Fundamentals of Nanoscale and Emergent Effects and Engineered Devices($21.6 million)
Synthetic Biology ($20 million)
Machine Reading and Reasoning Technology($24 million)

http://nextbigfuture.com/2010/02/darpa-project-highlights-for-2010-2011.html

Well... That's 124.6 million, but still a cool variety of projects. I'm well aware that DARPA mostly just gives money to idea people and never really gets an end result, so it's not a true cost of each technology. I support blowing up the moon as well.

p.s. I'm European, yet proud/happy of the work NASA and DARPA does, so you guys can feel superior for a moment and be proud. Americans get a lot of shit for 'ethics' and 'war' but most people don't realise science is the most important thing, ever.

darpa does shit dirt cheap, nasa is a bit of a hog (" 'nasa spent hundreds of thousands of dollars developing a pen that could write in space' 'yea' 'and you know how russia solved the problem?' 'yea, they used a pencil.' " - Primer). but alos, like you said, these are the barest seeds darpa is laying for further projects that will take decades (or a bit sooner for a few of them, like the ai one) to come to fruition.

i think the moon bombing is actually a great example of ingenuity making something out of nothing. afaik the alternative would have been just letting the probe become some more space junk.

>Actually, destroying two protons is creating a small hole in the fabric of space. It's a fact of science. It could create a black hole.

>And accelerating two protons to collide into each other is exactly why this thing broke in the first place. Do you even know how much energy that releases?

>Idiots.

Yes, "Brian," you know more about the energies and dangers involved than the fucking particle physicists who built the most complex machine in the history of the known universe, you fucking imbecile.

Eh, I'd like to believe that Americans are, in general, as retarded as we like to say, in order that I have hope for the human species, but I see the people in my home country in Australia and that destroys that lifeboat. I hear that Europeans are smarter than either... from Europeans. So "self-aggrandising cocks" seems a more fitting description than "smarter."

Take it from me, a European, the vast majority of Europeans are retarded as well. In particular the British and Australian share a special kind of retardation. We just have to consign outselves to elitism; the majority of any population will be retarded for as long as being retarded is easy, subsidised and, not only socially acceptable but promoted within society.

I will not try to dispute this, I don't give a fuck if we're smarter or not, but I would NOT prefer other systems to this one. We don't go to jail for fucking a 14 year old, we can look at small breasted porn on the internet (I feel for you Ausfags man), we can play L4D2 with actual blood instead of balloons, we don't get people tracking our torrents, ISPs don't send us threatening letters, everyone has quality health insurance by default, etc. etc.

And I live in a shitty country that is yet, if ever, to become a part of the EU.

HAHAHA OMFG THIS IS HILARIOUS!
Look at your last link, at comment number 4503!

I have just discovered the reason for the construction of this machine; it will be used very similarly to the "Stargate" shown on TV. It's not a space portal but a dimensional one, and not to explore but to release beings imprisoned within a dimensional prison. There is a specific date when the machine will work; and the entities (about 200) will be released upon our World. They were here before 4000 BC; and lived as "gods" because of their spiritual power; good looks; and brilliance; but they caused much bloodshed on Earth! Their return will usher the New World Order and a time of tyranny such as the World will never see again (after the True King returns in about 7 years). Genesis 6 gives a brief discription. of thei

The colony has been there secretly until a recent probe from a satellite launched by India detected unusual levels of Co2 emitting from the moon. they also have some of the finest schools, universities and general reasearch institutes in the world where they can educate a small number of highly intelligent ( or rich) people.

they thereby attract intelligent people from across the globe.

The world is literally overflowing with cruel ironies like these. Smart conservatives know how to make money (see: greedy businessmen) and don't actually give a shit about stuff like abortion, they just use it to manipulate the tools who do.

Smart liberals know how to make shit, but aren't ruthless enough with the shit they make. They let governments do that for them (see: atomic weapons). Smart liberals also worry a lot (over thinking things?), which is how they manipulate the sheep on their side, by spreading worry.

2 sides of the same coin. Smart conservatives and smart liberals should unite and let the dumb faggots die in a ditch. Unfortunately the dumb have far more voting currency.

I think America is still a superpower for the reason Britain is still (barely) globally relevant; history. There are a lot of treaties, alliances and those at the top support each other to stay at the top and abusing those below is not only practical but it helps you stay at the top.

American business use foreign resources and labour to sell to foreign markets and make money doing it. People like to think of America as an incompetent superpower on the way out but I think the government helps perpetuate that myth because it looks better than being a ruthless cock. America still does the best science, the fact that 70% of it is comprised of retards doesn't matter as long as the other 30% continue to be the best in the world.

>>262865 When I read that, I laughed in a way that I have never heard myself laugh. It was kind of a mixture of a parrot being strangled, a baby being kicked, and the squealing breaks of a train. I don't know what came over me.

If this "science" thing does not work out for you, I suggest a career as a humorous writer. I spit bean soup while reading this...

But Cyaptin, ye fergot all aboot the Global Warming, and all that stuff...
>> Anonymous 02/12/10(Fri)13:44 No.263992
>I have been skeptical and suspicious about "Global Warming" since it hit the media. I think the Earth's axis has been changed. And, it is now off just enough that it is effecting the weather on a grand scale. The Earth and Moon are Trillions of years old and while YES there is going to be a gradual change I can not believe that the things that are happening are from regular 'ol change. What I do believe is that the worlds leaders have participated together in their "Space Race" They have screwed around and caused the Earth to be knocked off it's axis. NOW, they are trying to make a correction by changing the axis of the moon to change the gravitational pull on the Earth.

And what did you do for that poor, small starving child? I bet you walked in the other direction with glee, as to not be seen or touched by him. You sick, shit fucking, two-faced bastard!

>What happens if a chunk of the moon comes crashing to earth?
Remember the moon has very lttle gravity and any chunks are likely to eject back towards earth.

And that's how most of the people view the moon. Also it's made of cheese.

>>We all know the moon’s energy directly affects the human psyche making it extremely dangerous to play with. I am much more concerned with displacing the subtler electromagnetic rays that reach our planet and humankind psyche. The same rays could be classified as lunar gravitation forces creating the daily tides in physical terms but also very much active on humankind.
