I've noticed an influx of new visitors to /c/ lately as well as a growing amount of, shall we say, "not so successful" threads. Let me take this opportunity to offer some friendly advice and helpful hints to our new /c/itizens and vistiors.

No, I'm not a Mod or the 'voice of /c/', I'm just one of many friendly /c/itzens here who tries to keep /c/ a nice peaceful place to share in. There are plenty of other Anons and tripfags alike who make /c/ great.

Remember to read the rules and check out the FAQs. I'm only offering helpful advice from my experiences here in /c/. Let's begin then. Feel free to ask questions or add any constructive comments.

I have travelled countless roads and sailed numerous seas. I have hiked through mountain valleys, trekked across endless deserts, and aimlessly roamed along distant shores. I have also seen the untold wonders of the mystical realms hidden beyond the distant horizon. My quest hasn't been an easy once, but my beloved /c/omrades have always been there for me.

To celebrate this 40th thread I will be putting together a special "Exotic Clothing Archive Project" thread and try to get it archived. There aren't many /c/ threads in the archive, but I would like to take a shot at it. This thread will contain 'highlights' of this series.

For all those who may be new to this journey let me give you an itinerary. We have been searching for exotic clothing from around the world and the realms of myth and magic. Folk costumes are greatly appreciated. We avoid Japanese clothing, not because we don't care for them, but because we are searching for something different. A very elaborate, ornate, or colourful kimono is still welcomed.

Alright /c/, we’ve got ourselves a bit of a problem and I propose we work together to find a solution.

The problem is the ever-increasing number of requests and threads like “ITT: cuteness GO!” that receive no contribution from the OPs that create them. This, combined with the annoying spambots ultimately results in dozens (yes, dozens) of decent threads being bumped off page 10 per day.

The methods I and others have used to curb this trend have been met with support as well as criticism from the /c/ community. Some of this criticism is understandable and sometimes rightly deserved as each individual has different approach, but the back-and-forth discussion has not yielded much more than poo flinging from both sides. This being /c/ where people get along surprisingly well, I’d like to propose my idea to solving this problem and open it up for discussion.

As we near our millionth post I am reminded of ... 400,000 I think where someone quietly posted a picture of Suigintou with the words "Is it get yet?" after which we had many people posting Shinku congratulating her sister on it.

Very pleasant and sweet response which we will never have happen again. Sadly we've gotten too much attention from other boards. As the day approaches I could wish for some civility from the other boards but I'm fully aware that it won't happen.

So as we get close I'll simply abandon you to the spamming until it's finished. Best of luck to all of /c/. This place has changed a lot over the years but you're still my home on 4chan.
