Food for thought before I go to bed and this thread gets trolled/saged into oblivion.

I work a shitty job at a retail store here in Southern California. Back when I first got hired I did graveyard shift for two and a half months watching the store at night with a manager and sometimes one other guy.

Around the backside of the store is this secondary warehouse we call the Rat Room for obvious reasons. One night the manager sends the new guy (they never last long on the graveyard shift), Chris, out to grab some supplies at some goddawful hour of the night. For some reason he implores me to go with him this time. I decide to go out of boredom and to accompany my friend on the cold and shitty walk.

We reach the room uneventfully and go inside. He tells me that he always get's creeped out when he gets sent out here. I kind of laugh it off. The rat room is bright and we're both adults. It seemed obvious that he was trying to fuck with me.

Like any good rat's nest the room was piled with old furniture and other garbage. We quickly found what we were looking for when I heard whispering.

Help me, /x/. There's a fucking demon living in my spare bedroom.
I bought this house (1 story, quiet neighborhood, not bad) about six months ago with a roommate and have had trouble with it since.
Sometimes he comes out and shakes my bed or bangs stuff on the walls from the spare room. My roommate and I have tried holy water and he won't go in those places any more, but he did start hitting the walls harder.
I tried getting a picture of him and he just went back in the room, so pic is only kinda related. It's fairly similar when I wake up and see him for a moment before he leaves again.
I can't get into the room because the door doesn't open and it looks like the previous owners built a fake chimeny over the window. I tried contacting them, but the number is out of service.

What do I do? I'm so tired of this.

Okay, /x/. This isn't really an amazing story or anything, but when it happened, it scared the shit out of me. First I'll give you a little background info about myself. Currently, I live a mile in the woods, in a shitty little pop up trailer with my mom. Reason being is that she's out of a job, my job doesn't make enough money, and we're on my uncle's property. This thing is small, it doesn't even have walls, it's more like tarp materials. Alternately, when it gets hot, you can unzip portions of the tarp, revealing netting that protects you from bugs. I live in a really hot state, so they were unzipped, it's been in the humid ninties all week.

I was inside of my uncle's house at the time, it was about two am when I decided "hey, I should go to bed, I have to work tomorrow. fuck." So I walk out there, and the entire way, I feel really uneasy, like something isn't right. There are two dogs on the property.. I can't find either of them. Shrugging this off, I go inside of our small trailer/tent, and attempt to sleep. I light a candle next to my bed, just because I feel a little creeped out.

So why did he feel so unsure about this place?

Of course Jay would try to run. They always did. They all thought they could hide from the Slenderman. A fruitless act, but amusing nonetheless. It made the chase all the more exciting. It gave Slenderman something to do when he wasn't stalking children that ventured too far into the woods.

This time, however, was different. It was not the first time he had been photographed or filmed, but now that the internet was around, he had become some sort of bizarre celebrity in the paranormal community. Not that it hindered his efforts to stalk people, but he had enjoyed being an anonymous entity that only crazy vagrants whispered about. The attention he was getting lately had ruined that atmosphere.

One of those vagrants, driven mad by a previous encounter with him, had taken to making rudimentary internet videos himself to try and make Jay nervous, taking up the "Totheark" monicker. He would've done away with the little bastard long ago, If only Jay didn't respond to each of the videos with one of his own. As much as Slenderman loved a good chase, the videos were making it much easier to find both Jay and his friend, "Alex", who was the one who started the video nonsense in the first place. The sooner Slenderman got his multiple hands on those two, the sooner the videos would stop, and he could enjoy his solitude once again.

Now he had arrived at the old house where he believed the two had been hiding. He had left Totheark behind, not wanting to put up with his annoying video stunts this time. He wanted to be alone when he ended this. No more unwanted attention.

Near where i live there is an old abandoned jail, i dont know all that much about it tbh, it was knocked down and a crappy barn thing was built over it a while ago but all off the underground cells and stuff still exist, This is highly relevant to /x/ as ive got high hopes of finding something paranormal, If you ask any other locals about the old jail they never seem to react well, as if you've just asked about a dead relative or something. A fair few rumours circulate about the place, for instance, it has been reported that laughter and even screams have been heard from the site, i know a guy who says he has heard this first hand, anyways, yeah, me and a friend are about to go down there and have a snoop around, take pictures ect, we'll keep /x/ updated with the findings in a thread we'll make when we return, chow.

Okay, I've heard a little about the Lavender Town music, but other than that, what else is scary about Pokemon? ill start,
a few months ago i was placed in an outpatient psychiatric program because i was inable to go to school. while i was there, the new kids always had to introduce themselves and tell the story of how they ended up there. it was completely bizarre to see these happy little kinds sit there and tell us how theyve tried to commit suicide and such, but i will never forgot this girls story. we were sitting in our small group therapy, about 8 kids, and this very shy looking girl in placed in the room, apparently she just got out of the inpatient ward. she had a huge red blotch taking up part of her face, and she was pratically ripping apart her stress ball. she sat down at the table, and out therapist had her introduce herself. she was very quest, but she told us her name, and told us that she had just turned 12 while she was in inpatient. then the therapist asked her how she managed to get herself in here. she was quiet at first, staring at the ball, you could tell she was extremely nervous.

I was thinking about how people seem to like writing creepypasta about lost episodes of childrens' shows in which terrible things happen. These seem to disturb people because they pervert memories from a time when they were mostly innocent.

Then I started thinking what if you did it with a video game everybody knows, like Super Mario World? The story would be something simple, a guy goes to a flea market and buys an SNES and the cartridge on a whim, but when he gets home and starts playing, things aren't like he remembers. At first the color just seems off and the music sounds glitched, then he notices that every ? block had already been hit and there are no enemies, Mario is entirely alone. He takes the game out and blows on it, but nothing changes. He decides he must have a glitched copy and keeps playing to see what else is messed up, but the more he plays, the more disturbing it gets. In the end, he is compelled to upload the ROM onto the internet and kill himself. At the end of the story would be a link to a ROM that would be hacked to be like the one described in the story. You could post the story and game to different video game message boards and watch people shit bricks.

Now I wouldn't know where to begin hacking a ROM like this, but I figure it might be fun just to talk about it and see what other people think. Do you think this is a good idea, and what are your ideas for making Super Mario World into nightmare fuel?

I was a pretty scary kid, mostly because I did a lot of sleepwalking. My Dad would wake up to me standing at the foot of his bed, just staring at him blankly. Other times I would stop halfway up the stairway that leads to my parents' room, sit down, and sob quitely.

Obviously I have no recollection of doing these things; they are stories told to me by my parents, years later. The REALLY scary thing is that, as a child, my Mom would do the EXACT SAME THING to my grandparents. Her siblings didn't sleepwalk; neither do mine.

The figure in the film has had it's height calculated to 7 foot 6 inches (and this was a female Sasquatch - males are often 8-9 feet tall). The height was calculated by National Geographic and forensic experts using formulas to compensate for the original photo lens used during filming and surrounding height markers from stumps and logs which remain in the exact spot. (Patty was originally thought to be 6 foot 4 due to a misconception about the lens).

The distance from her waist to her knees at her height does not match any known human, living or dead. A suit cannot produce a joint for a persons knees to bend within the suit at any ratio outside the human physiology.

1 out of 100,000,000 (100 million) humans grow over 7 feet 2 inches. Patty was 7 feet 6 inches tall.

A man cannot wear a suit which allows him to stand at that height and still bend at the knees with joints similar to Patty.

The Patterson Footage has never been successfully recreated. All attempts - even those by BBC and multi-million dollar backers have been laughable - so bad that they did not air the intended documentaries behind them.

Alright, /x/. You guys are pretty boring today, so I figured I'd share a semi-paranormal thing that has been bothering me lately.

When I was 9 years old, I had a dream about a cat that was running loose in my house. The dream was more humorous than anything. Even though it was very dark in the dream, with the hallway in my house only being lit by a small nightlight, the dream was fun because I was trying to catch this cat.

It was too dark to see the cat well, but I eventually cornered it in the hall and tried to grab it. It seemed to have just stopped entirely, right in front of the nightlight in my hallway. When I picked it up to look at it, I immediately woke up.

I was covered in blood.

It was on my shirt, pillow, sheets, and hands. Apparently I had a nosebleed while I was asleep, and it had run down my pillow onto my clothes, because I was lying on my side. I ran to the bathroom and grabbed some toilet paper and held it to my nose, trying to get the blood to clot. (I had been used to nosebleeds throughout my life.) My dad was still asleep, and it was 4 am so I didn’t want to bother him. It was a full hour before my nose quit bleeding. I was pretty light headed, but I started getting ready for school, because it was too late to go back to sleep.

okay /x/, i want to know your paranormal experiences, not copypasta.

here's some of mine:
I'm native american and lived for several years with my grandmother on a reservation. as anyone who is even remotely familiar with american history would know, land that reservations are on usually have some pretty crazy, creepy history. okay, so anyways, my grandma owned a couple of acres of land and had her trailer there for awhile. well, when i was younger, we would go for walks on the property and see these huge rocks. finally i thought to ask her what they were and it turns out they were grave markers and she had known it all along, even bringing them back to her porch to put her dog's food bowls on. also, several family members of mine have seen pioneer looking people traveling on a road outside her house. but, it's only ever seen from one window.
also, indians have some scary fucking folklore. some ones that have scared the shit out of me: water babies: demons that live near bodies of water. they always have the most beautiful long black hair, but the faces of demons. they are generally small and a weird green color. the water they normally hang around is blue or green-ish colored. there are stories of people seeing them and dying. also, for indians (my tribe at least) any water related deaths are attributed to waterbabies.
then there are skin walkers, the scariest fuckers ever. i'm not talking about that one flop movie. skin walkers are indians that know enough magic shit that they can transform their shape to those of animals. sometimes they can be other people. i've also heard that they do this by wearing an animals or human's skin. this is mainly southwestern indians, but other indians believe in it too, they just think that its only the sw indians that can do it.

I'll start with the legendary.. CREEPING PASTOR

On a night when there is a new moon, get into your car and start driving out of the city. Take back roads. Get yourself lost on dirt paths. Watch the clock -- when it strikes 1:11 AM, you may now try to find your way back to civilization. If the night is right, you'll come upon an old, run-down diner or gas station. Stop here.

Go inside. There will be an old man behind the counter, his teeth dripping in a terrible grin. Sit on the third barstool from the right and pick up a menu. Study this menu and do not say a word. Do not make eye contact with the old man. Eventually, after many minutes of silence, he will say "What are you in the mood for, friend?" You must answer "The night holds a secret for us each." If you say anything else, the old man's teeth will rip from his face and strangle you in a silent horror.

If you have done this correctly, he will say "Very well, very well, cone on back." If he does not say "very well" twice, it is a trap -- do not follow him and instead run as far away from the diner as you can, not turning back to witness the putrefied corpse that will now hunt you for the rest of your days. But if he does say "very well" twice, follow him behind the counter into the kitchen.

The kitchen will be very dark. Stare straight ahead at the old man's back. If you hear the clatter of utensils, try to fight the urge to turn your head towards the sound. Soon, the kitchen will fade and it will be just you and the old man in a pitch-black hallway. You will lose sight of the old man completely, and suddenly a spotlight will shine down onto a little girl's decapitated head, resting on the floor. The head will start to sing a single note, and you must match this note. You have one chance -- if you sing the wrong note, the head will grow to enormous size and chew you alive, and you will never die and you'll feel all of it forever
